About Us

The Law Offices of Tony Emsenhuber has been advising foreign based as well as domestic businesses and individuals in the intricacies of Federal and California business law for over two decades. Our typical client is a small to medium sized company or individual investor with an intent to expand business relations with the US or set up shop here. We review contracts, set up legal entities (mostly Corporations and LLCs), assist with visa applications and regulatory topics, and make initial assessments about taxability and IP issues. We thrive to put our clients at ease with a comprehensive review of their legal “exposure”, minimizing liability and litigation risks. Lawyers

Tony Emsenhuber has worked in Austria (as an electronics engineer) and Japan (as Assistant Trade Commissioner at the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy, in charge of Science & Technology) before he came to California in the mid 1990s to join the Austrian Trade Commission in Los Angeles as Deputy Trade Commissioner. As legal topics were dominating the inquiries, he was encouraged to study law and take the California bar, which he passed in 2001. Since then, he has helped hundreds of companies with their business law needs as General Counsel of the network of Austrian Trade Commissions in the US. He also has a law degree from Austria and loves to explain the differences between the two law realms.

Tony is married to a lovely lady hailing from Tokyo, loves to travel the world with her (mostly for gourmet reasons), is a ferocious reader (as you have to be as a lawyer) fascinated by languages and physics, and plays the ancient game of Go.
